Two more critical Microsoft patches
by Nikola Strahija on January 9th, 2006 Tuesday will bring two security Microsoft bulletins, both tagged as critical. The patches are going to fix a yet undisclosed Windows flaw, as well as a bug in Office and Exchange.
In Microsoft's terminology, Critical means that a vulnerability can be remotely exploited. Any other details are withheld by Microsoft, which offers the advance notification only to give customers a general idea of the patch load they'll face.
Multiple non-security, high-priority updates will also be released Tuesday, as will an updated Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
