Pleaded guilty for unleashing Blaster worm

by Nikola Strahija on August 15th, 2004 Jeffrey Lee Parson pleaded guilty for unleashing the Blaster worm and is likely to spend 18 months to three years in prison.

Jeffrey Lee Parson, a 19 year old teenager from Minnesota is likely to spend next 18 months to three years in prison, when he pleaded guilty in court for unleashing the internet worm Blaster (also known as the LovSan virus) that caused problems to over a million people last year.

Although he initially stated that he wasn’t guilty, in the end he admitted to downloading the original worm, modifying it and sending it back on the internet.

The greatest part of Jeffrey Parsons retaliation was turned against Microsoft Corporation and Windows update web site.
