Microsoft employs hackers again

by Nikola Strahija on August 6th, 2006 To make sure Windows Vista will be the as secure as possible, Microsoft is paying a group of hackers to try to penetrate the system and find its vulnerabilities.

From LSD (a rather famous Polish security research group) to well known security researchers and computer security companies, many people have had a chance to test the Vista code without any restrictions.

As John Lambert, a senior Microsoft manager, said at the Black Hat comference: -The pen tests reveled some interesting rabbit holes, a wide range of contradictions in security assumptions, process handicaps and several comical and unwise file names.'
