IT security for Europe
by Nikola Strahija on May 31st, 2006 Calling Europe a computer security unaware nation, the European Commision has devised a plan to raise knowledge and security, computer related.
With only five to 13 percent of IT money spent on security, the EC thinks that things are getting critical. Even more so with hackers becoming increasingly profit-oriented, as opposed to showoff hacks from previous years.
The EC goal is to learn how different states in the European Unity provide information and network security, how threat information is spread across multilingual community, and which practices should be used to educate end users.
The data collection will be organized by European Network and Information Security Agency.
