Infosec stands full of viruses

by Nikola Strahija on April 28th, 2006 McAfee discovered that more stands at Infosec are swarming with viruses, some very old and fixable for years.

The popular internet security show held at London has shown its other face when McAfee run security scanners. A great majority of security company's stands were sporting unsecured wireless connections, with no encryption and with default passwords.

Moreover, many stand were also infected with viruses galore, which were freely broadcasted to participants of the show. -Some of these viruses are ancient; one stand is pumping out Slammer which has been fixable for ages. There's really no excuse, said Greg Day, security consultant at McAfee.

The question McAfee brought to attention is: who is preaching our computer security?
