IBM Lotus iNotes Client ActiveX vulnerability

by Mario Miri on April 4th, 2003 IBM Lotus iNotes software is prone to a buffer overflow attack due to an bug in COM Object Control Handler. The vulnerability could be exploited through Internet Explorer remotely.


Vulnerable:
IBM Lotus iNotes Client 6.0

Not vulnerable:
IBM Lotus iNotes Client 6.0.1

Solution:
An upgrade to version 6.0.1 is required. Upgrade is available from official product site.
