Hack in the Box at Kuala Lumpur

by Ivana Strahija on July 12th, 2006 Once again the most anticipated security conference, Hack in the Box, will be held in Kuala Lumpur at The Westin Hotel from 18-21 September 2006. Xatrix has been invited for the ride.

We're glad to announce that Xatrix has accepted to be one of the computer security news sites that will follow HitB 2006 from the beginning to the end, giving you the newest and most interesting information about this important security event.

Moreover, this year's Hack in the Box Conference will surely be something special, with organizers announcing multiple technical training sessions, a hacking competition and over 30 international speakers presenting their latest research and papers.

FYI, Hack in the Box is considered to be one of the major annual events in computer security world, because it is run by a non-profit, home-grown organization, giving it's best every year to bring the most interesting security info to all its attendees.

Dhillon Andrew Kannabhiran, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hack In The Box (M) Sdn. Bhd., said a few words about the conference: -The main aim of the HITB series of conferences is to allow the dissemination of deep-knowledge network security info and at the same time, give the attendees a chance to meet with the world’s leading experts in this field.

The presentations at the event are delivered by respected members of both the mainstream network security arena as well as the underground or black hat community. As always attendees can be assured of being amongst the first to learn of new attack and defence methods that have not been discussed in public before.

We believe the conference is also an ideal opportunity for IT and security vendors from within the ASEAN region to meet with not only the experts but also to share their own expertise and technology with the public, explained Kannabhiran.
