GlobalScape CuteFTP buffer overflow

by Mario Miri on April 6th, 2003 GlobalScape's CuteFTP ftp client suffers from a buffer overflow bug. This is due to an insufficient memory bounds checking in a response to the LIST request. Therefore, a FTP server could overflow a buffer by issuing an overly long response.

Vulnerable:
GlobalScape CuteFTP 5.0

Solution:
Currently there are no official patches available from the software vendor.
