Easy porn browsing fake?

by Ivana Strahija on June 27th, 2006 Panda Software, an anti-virus vendor, warned about BrowseZilla, a porn friendly browser, stating that the whole project is nothing but a click fraud.

BrowseZilla, a free browser which advertises as a privacy protector for those who like surfing the porn websites, is just a big scam, Panda Software stated recently.

BrowseZilla also offers surfing with no history save-up and favorite website URLs (bookmarks) saved on webservers rather than on users computers. According to Panda this is not only false advertising, it could also be harmful for users of this browser.

As Panda said, BrowseZilla is also a click-fraud tool for porn websites, as it, allegedly, secretly installs adware on computers to boost page views on some websites.

The BrowseZilla makers issued a statement on their website saying that the information published on Panda's website is not only incorrect but also very damaging for the browser's finances: -It is possible to confirm with the full responsibility, that adware PicsPlace does not install our BrowseZilla on computer of the user and BrowseZilla does not install PicsPlace. If Panda Software International will insist, that BrowseZilla loads on a computer of the user some adware and not having brought documentary confirmation we shall be compelled to address in court, with the claim for compensation of harm caused by their application, states the vendor (in a tad crooked English).

BrowseZilla vendor also offered the browser code to public, challenging namely Panda Security to back ut its claims.
