Brazil hit by a Trojan
by Nikola Strahija on March 16th, 2006 The computer security community warns computer users in Brazil to beware of the new key-logging Trojan. They also suspect that variants of the Trojan will soon be created to affect other countries as well.
PWSteal-Bancos-Q is designed to track down users of online banking in Brazil. It captures mouse clicks and keystrokes, and sends the ill-gotten information via file transfer protocol (FTP) to the Trojan's author.
Although experts argue that mouse click capturing technique is not practical, it may also be that virus writers developed new, more usable methods.
