An owl virus on the loose

by Ivana Strahija on May 12th, 2006 A virus that prints out pictures of an owl with words O RLY on it. The worm does not posses a threat, it wasn't even written by a modern hacker.

The Sophos company recently discovered a funny little worm which spreads through network shares. Its sole purpose appears to be to send photograph of an owl to all printers on the network.

Sophos security experts gather that the W32/Hoots-A worm was not made by a modern hacker. It's written in Visual Basic and is not encripted or packaged.
